Well then, shall we begin?
10- Giorno Giovanna VS. Diavolo
Story Arc: Golden wind
The Man known by his catchphrase, “I, Giorno Giovanna, have a dream,”
Giorno Giovanna is the main protagonist of JoJo Bizarre Adventures Part 5, and is the 5th JoJo. Some say, he has the strongest stand “Gold Experience Requiem”
On the other hand, Diavolo is the main antagonist of Part 5, his stand is “King Crimson”. So it was only a matter of time before these two came face to face each other.
Now what makes this fight so significant isn’t just that Giorno was able to take his stand to the next level, this fight also put an end to Diavolo’s rule over Passione.
9- Jotaro Kujo VS. D'arby
Story Arc: Stardust Crusaders
This happens when the Joestar Group got cornered into several gambles against Daniel J. D’Arby, a guy with a stand that can actually steel people’s souls.
But after seeing that both Polnareff and Joseph lost to D’arby.
Jotaro had to put his game face on and get serious.
There was also the risk of losing his soul, so even for Jotaro this wasn’t an easy battle. But in the end, Jotaro manages to make D’Arby free all of the souls that he had trapped before.
It was an interesting battle, considering how Jotaro literally managed to bluff his way out of a fight against a hardcore gambler.
8- Caesar VS. Wamuu
Story Arc: Battle Tendency
Wamuu is a proud antagonist of Battle Tendency, as well as a personal rival to Joseph Joestar.
He takes pride in fighting and only acknowledges the strong. You can even say that there’s never a dull moment with him around.
Wamuu has gone up against Caesar twice, he also described him as, “A man as magnificent and as fleeting as his bubbles.”
Now during the Battle Tendecy arc, Mark tried to stop Wamuu, only to get severely wounded by him. Caesar had to intervene to put his dying friend out of misery.
And then after that, he went up against Wamuu!
7- Risotto Nero VS. Doppio
Story Arc: Vento Aureo
Risotto had some extreme hostility toward the boss Diavolo. He also tries to capture his daughter to get to him.
“So Trish is around there somewhere... They're getting closer... I will kill them all. I swear it.”-Risotto Nero.
But then he confronts Doppio, who is the kind of guy that Diavolo would trust with his everything. He is even allowed to partly wield the King Crimson stand.
On the other hand, Risotto’s stand is all about magnetism.
Now even though Risotto was overpowering Doppio for the majority of the game, in the end he lost.
6- Kira Yoshikage VS. Jotaro Kujo
Story Arc: Diamond is unbreakable
As the main antagonist of Diamond is Unbreakable, Kira Yoshikage wasn’t someone that could be looked down upon.
“I want a peaceful life. It's just that it's in my nature to kill.”-Kira Yoshikage
Even his stand has “Killer” in its name, it’s called Killer Queen and it has the ability to cleanly and completely wipe out objects, whether they are living or non-living.
And then of course, we have Jotaro, and even against someone this strong, Jotaro just manned up and punched him in the face.
5- Jonathan Joestar VS. Dio Brando
Story Arc: Phantom Blood
There are not many JoJo characters who are well known even among those who haven’t even watched JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure yet.
And the one JoJo’s Bizarre Aventure character who has been rampaging on the internet as the famous “Kono Dio Da” JoJo reference is Dio Brando himself.
Not to mention, he is also the main antagonist of Part 1 and Part 3. Which sounds even crazier when you consider how Dio is the father of the main protagonist of part 5 Giorno Girovanna.
Anyways, his fight against Jonathan has been acknowledged by fans as one of the greatest JoJo fights.
Even though the outcome of that fight was a bit sad.
4- Joseph VS. Wamuu
Story Arc: Battle Tendency
“To me, only the strong are real! Victory alone is just and admirable...”-Wamuu.
After taking care of both Mark and Caesar as well as acknowledging Caesar’s strength by calling him a worthy warrior.
Wamuu confronts Joseph!
As the climax of a great battle, this fight is still as vivid as it has always been in the minds of many JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fans.
In the end, Wamuu was defeated by Joestar as it gradually turned into a battle of wits. And just like that, Wamuu smiles and perishes into ash.
3- Josuke Higashikata VS. Kira Yoshikage
Story Arc: Diamond is Unbreakable
As the main protagonist of Diamond is Unbreakable, Josuke who looks like a regular high schooler has very interesting hair.
His stand is Crazy Diamond. It is an ability that allows him to heal others. Which is a very good thing to have.
Now Josuke’s fight against the antagonist of Diamond is Unbreakable is a display of extreme determination. He wanted to save Morioh and he did, but even though he defeated Kira, he didn’t kill him because killing goes against his principles.
So no matter what anyone says about his hair, he is an extremely cool dude.
2- Iggy and Polnareff VS. Vanilla Ice
Story Arc: Stardust Crusaders
This legendary fight takes place just before the final battle of Stardust Crusaders.
Both Iggy and Polnareff take on Vanilla Ice, who is the right hand man of Dio Brando, the antagonist of Part 1 and Part 3.
What’s interesting is that regardless of his name, Dio’s right hand man can sometimes be even more frightening than Dio himself.
But how the tides can turn.
In the end, Iggy somehow manages to save Polnareff and use Vanilla Ice’s own strength against him. It did cost him his own life though. But Polnareff managed to defeat Vanilla Ice because of that.
1- Kujo Jotaro VS. Dio Brando
Story Arc: Stardust Crusaders
This fight is one of the greatest and I don’t just mean among all of the JoJo fights, this fight is one of the greatest fights in all of anime.
After travelling for quite some time, Jotaro came face to face with the man who had been bugging the Joestar family. And that person is none other than Dio Brando himself. The man who even took Joseph’s life.
That’s exactly why, Jotaro, who normally doesn’t show his emotions got equipped with rage. In the end, the fight ended with Jotaro’s victory as he realizes that his stand can also stop time.
